OOTD: Black and White and Teal all Over...

Hello Hello! I had a few places to go to today, so I decided to do a little outfit of the day.  It was quite warm out today, so I decided to wear a simple dress and jazz it up with a few pieces of jewelry.  Enjoy!

Just a Little Somethin' Somethin'

Good evening everyone!  I decided to put a couple of looks together with some of the pieces I bought while shopping the other day...this is what I came up with.  I hope you all enjoy!

**(Please bear with me on the lighting and picture quality.  I will be getting an actual camera soon so I can stop using my phone, which will allow me to take pictures of my outfits in different settings)**

Classic Black and White with a Twist

The following look is something that I, for myself at least, consider more of a night look.  If I were to wear this look during the day, I would simply pair it with flats instead of 3 inch heeled ankle booties.

Comfy and Cozy for Fall

This look is my go-to for fall.  A cozy sweater and boots always look great together.

Just a Little Shopping :)

Hi Everyone!  Since I've been so inspired by fall outfits on Pinterest (how can you not be OBSESSED with that Website?!?!), I decided to take a little trip to the mall.  My first stop was American Eagle.  I know American Eagle is geared more towards the 12-18 age range; however, I absolutely love the way AE's jeans fit me.  I have tried many brands of jeans in various price ranges, but I always come back to American Eagle.  And the best part, all of their jeans are on sale for $29.99.  I don't know how long this sale will last, so go out and buy a pair...or 2...or 3 :)  I purchased three pairs of jeans:  two skinny and one pair of jeggings.  I like to purchase jeggings one size up so they aren't "legging tight."

Next stop, H&M.  I am so happy that I now live near an H&M.  The only problem I have with H&M is sizing.  My shirt size can range from XS to M.  I know style can sometimes change the size you need, but I feel that there is quite a difference between XS and M.  Anyways, enough of my rant, because H&M has some really cute sweaters for fall.

I am currently obsessing over navy and stripes, so the second sweater HAD to come home with me.  I also purchased it in mint, which I love as well.  The third shirt is a jersey knit sleeveless black shirt with a chiffon  detail on the sleeves and the bottom.

Pricing (from L to R):  $24.95 / $24.95 / $12.95

I also purchased three basic tanks from H&M.  I love their basics, and with a fantastic color range and a low price of $7.95, you can't go wrong!  I purchased mine in a light, neon pink, navy blue and a bright coral.

I made a quick stop at Marshall's to see if the store near the mall had anything different than the store right by my house.  I picked up two shirts and one pair of shorts.  Unfortunately, the picture of the shorts would not upload (ugh, I really need to invest in a camera and stop using my iPhone).  But if you have payed any attention to trends this summer, then you have seen shorts like the ones I purchased.  They are crochet/lace in a cream color.  I think I am going to pair them with a basic black top (tucked in, of course), black wedges/pumps, and a bright statement necklace.  Okay, now onto what I can show you...

I found two chiffon high-low shirts.  The white buttons and the black does not.  I like these because even though it is still warm outside, they are sheer enough to be okay with shorts, and they will definitely transition great into fall.

Pricing Information
Shorts:  $16.99
Black Shirt:  $12.99
White Shirt:  $14.99

My final stop of the day was Old Navy.  I normally don't shop at Old Navy because I have never like the fit of their clothes.  However, I found two sweaters that are amazingly soft AND fit me (yay!).

Pricing (L to R):  $26.94 / $15

Okay, I think that's enough damage to my wallet for one day.  Keep on the lookout for upcoming posts about how I plan to style these new additions to my wardrobe!

xoxo,
Liz

Hi There!  Lately I have been obsessed with button down shirts.  I have been wearing a lot of high-low button downs, but I decided to go for more classic cut blouses for the following looks.  I paired each shirt with white shorts; I think the shorts add to the clean, classic look.

FALLing for Black and Blue

Hello Hello!  I don't know about all of you, but I am excited for fall!  Even though I love warm weather, there is something about the turning of the leaves and the crisp, cool air that adds a little pep to my step.  And of course, I love fall fashion!  I'm a happy girl anytime I can live in sweaters, scarves and boots...until, that is, the weather drops enough for snow to cover the ground.  Okay, let's get into the outfit...after all, that is the reason you're here :)  I hope you enjoy!

First of all, I don't think you can ever go wrong with a leather jacket.  A leather jacket, especially in the color black, is a staple piece that should be in every girl's wardrobe.  If you are able, it is best to invest in a quality jacket (Express has good leather-like jackets priced around $100).  There are leather jackets out there that are more affordable, just make sure they don't look cheap and "shiny."  Also, Marshall's and TJMaxx are GREAT places to look.  In fact, I purchased my jacket from Marshall's a few years ago (price information is listed at the bottom).

The top I paired with the jacket is a royal blue high-low collared blouse (sleeveless).  I think the jacket helps to add an edgy look to a more conservative shirt.  I absolutely LOVE black and this color blue paired together...especially for the cooler months.

Moving on to the bottom half...  The pants are from JCrew and the boots are from Nine West.  Again, I think the boots add an edgy feel to the outfit and compliment the jacket.  Being the pants are from JCrew, they are definitely on the pricey side.  Black skinnies, luckily, are not hard to find...try Forever 21 for a more affordable alternative.

As far as jewelry goes, I did not add any in this picture.  However, I would suggests maybe a silver necklace and a cocktail ring...keep it simple.

Price Information:
Jacket:  Marshall's ($29.99 - originally $100+)
Shirt:  Marshall's ($16.99 - originally $30)
Pants:  JCrew Pixie Pants ($88)
Shoes:  Nine West ($40 something - purchased on sale at 6pm.com)
